Overview

The Teen REACH Coordinator p rovides leadership to Teen REACH , youth programming, and family services. Maintains and enhances programming through building and executing high training and development, program administration, and ensuring a first in quality program curriculum, staff class program experience for all participants. 

Responsibilities

  • Manage teen outreach programs, including developing and monitoring program budgets to meet fiscal objectives; compiling program statistics to evaluate program effectiveness and participation; securing, scheduling, and maintaining appropriate program spaces; planning and coordinating activities, workshops, and events; and ensuring materials and resources are available and well maintained. 
  • Ensure programs and services meet community needs by supervising existing program activities, establishing new initiatives, and expanding services within the community as appropriate. Assist in marketing and distribution of program information to increase awareness and engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations as they relate to program areas, including ADA accommodations where appropriate; ensures organizational program standards are met and that all safety procedures are followed. 
  • Recruit, hire, and develop diverse staff and volunteer teams. Provide onboarding, training, scheduling, supervision, and ongoing performance evaluation to support a high quality program environment. 
  • Develop and implement structured programming for teens and families, including educational workshops, life skills development, mentoring opportunities, and family engagement events; create and distribute program schedules, guidelines, and resource materials; and coordinates recognition activities and events that celebrate participant achievements. 
  • Model relationship building skills in all interactions; develops and maintains collaborative partnerships with staff, parents and caregivers, schools, and community organizations (e.g., licensing agencies, school administration, park districts, and social service providers) to maximize program impact; maintains clear, consistent communication within area of responsibility.
  • Lead the development, coordination, and delivery of mobile or community based outreach programming in partnership with local organizations to expand access and engagement for teens and families. 
  • Demonstrate knowledge of and passion for youth development, teen engagement, and strengthening families, with an emphasis on positive outcomes, social emotional learning, and community connection. 
  • Organize and participate in organizational activities such as committees, special events, and fundraising initiatives. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 1 2 years of related experience (e.g., supervisor or coordinator of programs) preferred.
  • Minimum age of 21.
  • Experience working in a Y (or similar) membership organization. 
  • Proven results in increasing program quality and growth through exceptional planning and organizational skills.
  • Must obtain within 30 days of employment and then maintain current certifications in CPR/AED Basic Life Support, First Aid and Oxygen Administration

Posted Salary Range

USD $21.00 - USD $25.00 /Hr.
